Adam Skibbe is a Senior GIS Administrator and Adjunct Instructor at the University of Iowa, affiliated with the Department of Geographical & Sustainability Sciences (GSS) within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS). He provides geospatial support to GSS, CLAS, and the broader university community, with a focus on integrating cutting-edge technologies into data collection and analysis for environmental and social issues.
His research interests include Geographic Information Systems (GIS), LiDAR 3D surface modeling, and geospatial data applications with environmental emphasis. Skibbe also contributes to education by teaching introductory GIS courses, such as GEOG:2013 – Intro to Sustainability and GEOG:3340 – Ecosystem Services, and oversees the undergraduate student group ICIGO. He earned an MLA from Iowa State University.
