Adam Knight is an artist and Tutor (Research) at the Royal College of Art (RCA), specializing in fine art practice and interdisciplinary research. He holds a BA from Kent Institute of Art and Design (Fine Art), an MA in Print from the RCA (2007), and a postgraduate qualification in Teaching and Learning in the Creative Arts. A Fellow of the Higher Education Academy since 2010, he returned to the RCA in 2014 to pursue a practice-led research degree in Fine Art.
His research explores physical territories and political contexts through art, focusing on monuments, memory, and spatial narratives. Notable projects include residencies at CheLA (Buenos Aires), The Watch (Berlin), and collaborations with institutions like the British Library and TRACKINGSHOT collective. He has exhibited globally, including at Kunsthalle Rostock and Whitechapel Gallery, and published in journals like Journal of Writing in Creative Practice.
Key awards include a-n Artist Bursary (2019) and multiple grants from the University for the Creative Arts and Arts Council England. His work often investigates frontier spaces and the interplay between history, architecture, and sound.
