Adam Eddy is an Assistant Professor of Painting in the Art Studio program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). He holds an MFA in painting/drawing from Boston University (2016) and an MFA in creative technologies from Virginia Tech (2022). His work bridges traditional media (oil painting, sculpture) with digital innovation (computer graphics, immersive tech).
Research interests focus on exploring liminal spaces between human/machine, organic/mechanical, and past/future. He interrogates constructed dichotomies through interdisciplinary practices that challenge individualism and social hierarchies. Notable exhibitions include solo/group shows nationally and internationally. Previous academic roles include assistant professorships at Columbia College (studio art) and adjunct positions at College of Charleston (painting/drawing).
- Education: B.A., College of Charleston; M.F.A., Boston University; M.F.A., Virginia Tech

His recent works like Destiny (2024) and Temple (2023) exemplify his fusion of traditional and digital mediums. Projects like Surface Tension (2022) showcase sensor-driven interactive art, while Walk of the Sun (2021) blends documentary film with artistic process narratives.
