Adam Douglas Henry is a Professor at the University of Arizona's School of Government & Public Policy and Director of the Computational Social Science Program. His research focuses on policy learning, environmental sustainability, and computational modeling, particularly in the context of complex environmental policy challenges. Dr. Henry integrates agent-based modeling, network analysis, and statistical methods to study topics like residential solar energy adoption and climate change adaptation.
Education: He holds a B.A. and B.S. from Washington and Lee University and a Ph.D. from the University of California, Davis. He was a Giorgio Ruffolo Fellow at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government from 2010–2012.
Research Interests: Henry’s work emphasizes networked collaboration in policy processes, environmental risk management, and sustainable development. He explores how policy networks influence decision-making and innovation in areas like water resources, renewable energy, and disaster preparedness.
Grants & Awards: His research has been funded by the NSF, U.S. Department of Energy, and National Renewable Energy Laboratory. Notable recognition includes the Giorgio Ruffolo Fellowship in Sustainability Science.
