Abdul Muqeem

Abdul Muqeem is Lecturer and Programme Leader for MSc International Business at the University of Chester's Faculty of Science, Business and Enterprise. He teaches Research Methods and Launching Sustainable International Businesses (BU7065), while supervising master's projects.

Education includes:

• PhD candidate in Sustainability Reporting (current)
• MPhil in Sustainability, University of Chester
• Master's in Management
• Bachelor's in Computer Science

Research focuses on:

• Relationships between sustainability reporting and financial performance
• Barriers to sustainability adoption in SMEs
• Comparative analysis of reporting frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD)
• Diversification through underutilized crops

Prior to academia, he spent 12 years as an entrepreneur and service industry professional, founding businesses in Liverpool. He holds Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA).
