Jelena Angelis

Jelena Angelis is a Visiting Lecturer at ISM and serves as a Research Grants and Partnerships Expert in the Department of Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology at Stockholm School of Economics. She holds roles as Senior Consultant and Deputy Director of Technopolis Group Baltics, focusing on innovation policy, research funding, and SME support. Originally from Lithuania, she spent 14 years in the UK before relocating to Sweden in 2012.

• BA (Honours) and Master’s degree from Vilnius University, Lithuania

Her research interests emphasize innovation financing, business models in construction ecosystems, sustainable operations, and cross-border growth strategies for SMEs. She actively contributes to global innovation initiatives, including assessing applications for EU Horizon2020 and Swedish Vinnova programmes. Jelena has extensive experience in entrepreneurship support, having advised startups on investment strategies and cultural change for innovation adoption. She co-authored influential reports such as the ERAWATCH Analytic Report on EU research funding trends and presented at events like the INNO-Views Workshop on entrepreneurship ecosystems.

In advising and grants, she focuses on fostering global innovation through the Global Lithuanian Leaders programme and evaluates funding applications for SMEs. Her work bridges policy, practice, and academia to enhance innovation capabilities.
