Aaron J. Horner is an Adjunct Professor of Legal Writing at Baylor University School of Law, his alma mater, while practicing commercial litigation at Womble Bond Dickinson. His professional focus includes contract disputes, employment law, and commercial leasing, emphasizing persuasive legal writing. He has trial experience as second chair in civil jury trials involving breach of contract, fraud, and fiduciary duty claims.
Preceding his legal practice, Horner served as a federal law clerk to U.S. District Judge Marcia A. Crone, handling civil and criminal trials. He also interned with North Carolina Court of Appeals Judge Valerie Zachary and U.S. Magistrate Judge Jeffrey C. Manske. His thought leadership includes a 2020 Baylor Law Review article analyzing Abbott v. Perez's good faith standards in redistricting cases.
Active in legal communities, he is a member of the American Bar Association (Litigation Section), Federal Bar Association, North Carolina Bar Association, and Forsyth County Bar Association. He participates in the Chief Justice Joseph Branch Inn of Court and volunteers with the Children’s Law Center of Central North Carolina.
