Dr. Ayça Aracı is a Lecturer in the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University's Faculty of Health Sciences. She has held academic positions since 2018, including Department Head and Deputy Director of Research and Application Center roles. Her academic journey includes multiple advanced degrees: a PhD in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation from Pamukkale University, an MA in Anatomy from Akdeniz University, and a Master’s in Educational Sciences from KU Leuven. She is also a licensed Physical Therapist from Hacettepe University.
Her research focuses on musculoskeletal rehabilitation, telerehabilitation, and neuromuscular interventions. Key areas include the efficacy of exercise programs for chronic pain patients, tendon biomechanics in flat-footed individuals, and validation of clinical assessment tools like the Turkish Patient-Specific Functional Scale. Recent work explores telemedicine applications for vertigo patients and psychological impacts of exercise therapies.
Dr. Aracı has led or participated in research projects including the TAF-TOHM Athlete Performance Monitoring Project (2022-2023) and a study comparing neuromuscular integrative activity vs Pilates effects. She is an active member of the Turkish Physiotherapists Association and has contributed to over 30 peer-reviewed articles across indexed journals like the Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapies and Physiotherapy Theory and Practice.
Her academic service includes administrative roles at Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University since 2019, including Vice Dean (2020) and Department Head positions. She has developed rehabilitation protocols for post-surgical patients and athletes, with particular expertise in shoulder and spinal cord injury rehabilitation.
