Prof.ssa ACOCELLA ALESSANDRA is an Associate Professor at the University of Parma, affiliated with the Department of Humanistic, Social, and Cultural Enterprise Disciplines. Her research focuses on contemporary art history, exhibition studies, and visual communication. She teaches courses such as History of Contemporary Art, Journalism and Art Criticism, and Exhibition History across multiple academic programs.
Her teaching roles include appointments in the First Cycle Degree in Communication and Contemporary Media for Creative Industries and the Second Cycle Degree in History and Critic of Arts and Performance. She has served as a tutor for the same undergraduate program since 2021/2022.
Her publications explore topics like African art photography, postmodern art installations, and feminist exhibition practices. Recent works include analyses of Daniel Buren’s Italian interventions and 1990s visual arts and design trends.
