A. Blake Pearce

A. Blake Pearce is a Professor of Art (Printmaking) and holds executive leadership roles at Valdosta State University. Currently serving as Executive Director of Special Projects in Academic Affairs and Chief Development Officer for University Advancement, he has held roles including Interim Vice President of University Advancement (2022-2023), Dean (2013-2022), Department Head of Art & Design (2000-2013), and art faculty (1991-2000). His 30+ year career combines teaching, administration, and artistic practice.

Research interests focus on visual arts creation and pedagogy. His works in painting, drawing, and printmaking have been exhibited nationally. Pearce actively contributes to professional organizations including the Southern Graphics Council International and College Art Association. He served 12 years as a site visitor for the National Association of Schools of Art and Design.

Recognition includes membership in Alpha Chi and Phi Kappa Phi Honors Societies. Professional leadership extends through roles in arts administration and academic program accreditation.
