Zbigniew Wrombel

Zbigniew Wrombel is a Professor at Poznan University of Music's Institute of Jazz and Popular Music, specializing in double bass, bass guitar, jazz standards analysis, and orchestral studies. A graduate of the same academy, he ranks among Poland's top jazz musicians with 40+ years of global performances.

His research explores jazz improvisation, acoustic/electronic bass techniques, and fusion genres including rhythm and blues, funk, Latin music, and Astor Piazzolla-style tango nuevo. He directs jazz ensembles (trios/quartets) and collaborates extensively in studio recordings.

Awards include the Medal for Long Service and Honorary Citizenship of Chodzież for cultural promotion through International Jazz Workshops. He leads summer music programs across Europe.
