Prof. Frank Wingold is a Professor of Jazz Guitar at the Institute of Music (IfM) at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences. He also serves as a lecturer at the Prins Claus Conservatorium in Groningen, Netherlands. Specializing in jazz and rock-oriented techniques on acoustic and electric guitars, he focuses on developing an innovative improvisational and compositional language, particularly with the 7-string guitar. His recent solo CD 'to be frank' received critical acclaim, including 'Record of the Month' awards from JazzPodium and Gitarre & Bass.
