Ute Becker

Prof. Ute Becker holds the position of Professor of Singing with a focus on popular music at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media. She teaches at the Institute for Jazz|Rock|Pop and has a distinguished career as a performer and educator. Her expertise spans jazz, pop, rock, and musical theatre vocal techniques, with notable performances in Disney film adaptations and collaborations with renowned orchestras.

Her research interests include vocal pedagogy for contemporary styles and interdisciplinary performance practices. Before her current role, she taught at the Berlin University of the Arts and the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music.
