Todd Chambers is an Associate Professor and Assistant Vice Provost at Texas Tech University (TTU), affiliated with the College of Media & Communication's Professional Communication department. He holds a Ph.D. (University of Tennessee, 2000) and M.A. (TTU, 1994). His research focuses on media management, economics, sports communication, and broadcasting, with notable publications in the Journal of Media Economics and Journal of Radio & Audio Media. He has contributed to grant projects on media sales and broadcast operations through the National Association of Broadcasters.
Teaching highlights include over 22 courses spanning undergraduate and graduate levels, emphasizing media entrepreneurship, research methods, and technology in communication. Awards include recognition as Outstanding Alumni of the College of Media & Communication and membership in the TTU Teaching Academy. He also serves on editorial boards for the Journal of Radio & Audio Media and Electronic News.
Professionally, Chambers has led career advising initiatives and collaborated on industry projects. Beyond academia, he enjoys playing drums in a local band and is married to Dr. Barbie Chambers, with whom he shares two daughters.
