Dr Thomas Davis is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at the Business School, Manchester Metropolitan University. His research explores urban sustainability, spatial theories of organizing, and ecological thinking, drawing on philosophers like Henri Lefebvre and Gregory Bateson. He focuses on participatory methods and historical approaches to study urban development and alternative city organization.
Teaching emphasizes experiential learning through student projects across Greater Manchester’s boroughs, coordinating a social innovation regeneration project in Oldham. He lectures on social enterprise theory, organizational strategy, and ethics at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Thomas earned his PhD from the University of Liverpool Management School in 2022.
