Dr. Scott Lillard is Professor and Carboline Endowed Chair in Corrosion at University of Akron's College of Engineering, serving as Interim Technical Director of NCERCAMP. He holds PhD and MS in Materials Science from Johns Hopkins University.
His research focuses on corrosion mechanisms, electrochemical characterization, and predictive modeling. A NACE Fellow, he leads DOT-funded projects on pipeline corrosion and DoD-funded work on in-situ corrosion imaging.
Previously at Los Alamos National Laboratory (1995-2011), he teaches Corrosion Engineering Design and Materials Science. His work addresses corrosion challenges in energy infrastructure and nuclear systems.
