Dr. Sarah Imam is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health and Human Performance at The Citadel, part of the Swain Family School of Science and Mathematics. She holds an M.D. from Spartan Health Sciences University (1998) and an MBBS I from King's College London (1996). Her teaching focuses on health-based subjects including advanced physiology, environmental physiology, medical terminology, and nutrition. Research interests include the neuroscience of musculoskeletal activity and disease, neurotransmitter activity, and neurodegenerative diseases' impact on aging.
