Kimbo Yee

Dr. Kimbo Yee is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health and Human Performance at The Citadel, part of the Swain Family School of Science and Mathematics. He joined The Citadel faculty in 2018 following a 3-year tenure as Visiting Professor at Grand Valley State University. His research focuses on the impact of family/home environments on childhood obesity and cardiovascular disease risk, as well as dietary behavior's role in cadet cardiometabolic health and tactical performance.

• Education: Ph.D., M.A., and B.A. in Kinesiology (Exercise Physiology) from Michigan State University
• Prior roles: Lab Coordinator at MSU's Human Energy Research Lab; instructor in MSU's Kinesiology department

Research interests include developing family-centered interventions for weight management and studying nutrition's effects on military-style populations' physical fitness and quality of life. Office located in Deas Hall 209.
