Tim Bott

Tim Bott is an Associate Professor of Health and Human Performance at The Citadel, affiliated with the Swain Family School of Science and Mathematics. He serves as program coordinator for undergraduate and graduate Physical Education and Coaching programs. His teaching focuses on physical education pedagogy, motor development, and motor learning at the graduate level. Research interests include the relationship between motor skill competence and physical activity motivation, with emphasis on achieving healthy weight outcomes. He has been actively involved in physical education advocacy, previously serving as President of the South Carolina Association for Physical Education and Sport.

Education: Ph.D., M.A., and B.A. from the University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC.
