Dr. Sandy Bargainnier is a full-time Professor in the Department of Health Promotion and Wellness at SUNY Oswego's School of Education. She specializes in refugee wellness, financial wellness, and curriculum development, drawing on a diverse background in higher education, mentoring, and community advocacy.
Her research focuses on sociocultural factors supporting refugee transitions from high school to college and wellness dimensions in refugee populations. She actively collaborates with local refugee agencies and mentors refugee youth in Syracuse, NY.
