Dr. Sandra Bargainnier is a full Professor in the Department of Health Promotion and Wellness at SUNY Oswego. She previously held roles as department chair, Associate Professor at Syracuse University, and assistant professorships at Penn State and Plymouth State University. Her research focuses on sociocultural factors aiding refugee transitions from high school to college, and she co-leads evidenced-based programming with local refugee agencies. She holds certifications including National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) and Wellcoach® through the American College of Sports Medicine.
Education: Ed.D., Curriculum and Teaching (Boston University); MS, Exercise Science (University of Rhode Island); BS, Health and Physical Education (Lock Haven University).
