Ross Knight

Ross Knight is the International Visiting Professor of Tuba at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM). He holds the position of Solo Tuba with the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande in Geneva since 2016. Previously, he served as Principal Tuba with the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester (2015–17) and European Union Youth Orchestra (2012–15). His orchestral collaborations include the Berlin Philharmonic, London Symphony Orchestra, and others.

He earned a first-class degree from the Royal Academy of Music and further studied at the Hochschule für Musik in Hannover, where he became a Tuba Academist at the Karajan Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic. Knight has taught masterclasses globally, including at the RNCM, Royal College of Music, and institutions in Lyon, Geneva, and São Paulo. In 2019, he tutored the Australian Youth Orchestra during their European and China tours.
