Alexei Tkachuk

Prof. Alexei Tkachuk is a Professor of Bassoon at the University of the Arts Bremen since 2005. He has held prominent roles as a solo bassoonist with orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra Academy, Gustav-Mahler Jugendorchester, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, and Bamberger Symphoniker. His career highlights include winning major international bassoon competitions in 1990 (Markneukirchen) and 1990s (Minsk). He teaches orchestral repertoire and chamber music, leading student concerts at the university.
