Ewan Easton

Ewan Easton is a Professor of Tuba at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) and Principal Tuba with the Hallé Orchestra since May 2001. He combines his orchestral career with extensive teaching and outreach activities across primary, secondary, and tertiary education levels.

His research interests include Brass Pedagogy, Orchestral Outreach, and Community Music Engagement. The award-winning ‘Hallé4brass’ project demonstrates his commitment to innovative music education for youth. He has conducted performance workshops for audiences aged 7-70 and recorded significant solo tuba repertoire for BBC.
