Polly North is a Tutor at the Manchester School of Architecture (MSA), Manchester Metropolitan University. Her practice focuses on architectural and interior design using natural materials and low-tech building methods, influenced by her agricultural upbringing in rural South Wales.
Her research interests include sustainable design, adaptive reuse of existing buildings, and the integration of joy into public spaces through architectural interventions. She previously collaborated on large-scale art installations and architectural pavilions, notably transforming The Culvert Bandstand in Newcastle into a cultural hub for local festivals.
With seven years of experience at the European Architecture Students Assembly (EASA), she incorporates alternative education approaches into her teaching, addressing social, environmental, and economic challenges in contemporary architecture. Her office is located at the Manchester Technology Centre.
