About
Pamela Pecchio is a Professor of the Practice at Tufts University's School of the Museum of Fine Arts and an Assistant Professor of Art at the University of Virginia. Her work explores photography, collage, and conceptual art, focusing on themes like American history, landscape, and the climate crisis.
Her research delves into the interplay between analog and digital photography, treating photographic materials as a medium for deconstructing historical narratives and mythologies. She often rephotographs collages and objects to examine how facts are assembled into history.

- 2014 Fellowship Honorable Mention (North Carolina Museum of Art)
Pecchio's work is held in major collections, including the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia, the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, and the Yale University Art Museum. She has exhibited internationally in New York, China, Germany, and other regions.
