Yulin Yuan

Yulin Yuan is an Instructor of Art at James Madison University since 2024, affiliated with the School of Art, Design and Art History. She holds an MFA from James Madison University (USA) and a BFA from the University of Cape Town (South Africa). Her practice focuses on collage, video, and photography, exploring themes of identity, mythology, and immigrant experiences through family history and community narratives. Yuan’s work has been exhibited internationally and nationally, and she currently serves as the VMFA Professional Fellow for 2024-2025.
