Owen Klatte

Owen Klatte is an Animation Lecturer in the Film, Video, Animation & New Genres Department at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM). His role involves teaching courses such as Stop Motion Animation, The Animation Business, and The Animation Production Process.

Education: BS in Architecture from UW-Milwaukee.

Research & Professional Experience: Owen brings extensive industry experience as an Animation Director and Character Animator, with credits spanning stop motion and computer graphics. Notable projects include Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1, Anomalisa, Charlotte’s Web, and Disney’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. His expertise spans commercials, TV shows, games, and feature films across major and independent studios. He emphasizes training emerging artists, blending practical industry insights into his teaching.
