Mathias Habersack

Prof. Mathias Habersack holds the Chair of Civil Law and Corporate Law at LMU Munich's Faculty of Law. He is affiliated with the Munich Center for Capital Markets Law (MuCCML) and the Munich Center for Dispute Resolution (MuCDR). His research focuses on corporate governance, capital markets law, and corporate insolvency law. He has advised numerous doctoral students in these areas. Prof. Habersack's academic contributions include supervising over 50 doctoral theses since 2001, many addressing contemporary corporate law challenges such as shareholder liability, supervisory board responsibilities, and digitalization in corporate law.

His academic career includes leadership roles in major legal research centers. Teaching responsibilities involve advanced corporate law seminars and supervision of master's and doctoral candidates. He maintains active participation in legal reform discussions through his research centers.
