Dr. Markus Kaim is an Adjunct Professor at the Hertie School in Berlin, where he teaches European Foreign Relations & Transatlantic Security. He also holds adjunct professorships at the University of Zurich and the Bucerius Law School in Hamburg. Previously, he served as a Senior Fellow at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) until April 2024 and has taught at Carleton University, the University of Toronto, and the University of Konstanz.
Research Interests include European and German foreign policy, transatlantic relations, security policy, and geoeconomic strategies. His work bridges academic analysis with practical policy formulation, particularly in international security frameworks.
