Gil Murciano is the CEO of Mitvim – the Israeli Institute for Regional Foreign Policies. He holds a PhD from Freie Universität Berlin, where his dissertation analyzed the role of honor in Middle Eastern peace negotiations. As a researcher and educator, he has served at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) in Berlin (2017–2021), led the diaspora-focused policy initiative Techne, and participated in fellowships at Yale University and King's College London's Atkin Fellowship Network. His teaching at the Hertie School includes courses on strategic intelligence and nuclear Iran policy.
