Dr. MAH Suyun is a Full-time Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Lee Kong Chian School of Business, Singapore Management University (SMU). His research focuses on the Marketing-Finance Interface, Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), Corporate Social Irresponsibility (CSI), and Innovation. He holds a Ph.D. in Marketing from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business (2021), an M.A. in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh (2015), and dual B.A. degrees in Applied Statistics and Economics from Yonsei University (2014).
His work bridges marketing and finance disciplines, analyzing how customer and employee satisfaction influence shareholder wealth, and leveraging social media data to study consumer reactions during corporate crises. He has been recognized with awards including the AMA–Sheth Doctoral Consortium Fellowship (2020) and multiple research productivity honors.
Dr. Mah’s teaching spans marketing strategy and retail operations, with active involvement in doctoral consortiums and academic fellowships. His research has been featured in the Journal of Academy of Marketing Science and Harvard Business Review.
