Kumar Patchigolla is a Professor leading decarbonisation initiatives at Teesside University's Net Zero Industry Innovation Centre. His research integrates efficiency improvements, CCUS, hydrogen technologies, and renewables for industrial decarbonisation. With a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, he has held academic positions at Cranfield University and Loughborough University.
He designs pilot-scale systems for energy storage, CO2 capture, and green hydrogen production, contributing to projects on waste-to-energy and carbon footprint reduction. He currently accepts PhD students in sustainable energy and heat provision technologies.
