Kristina Ancil Edwards

Kristina Ancil Edwards is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Dance + Choreography at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). She has served as faculty or adjunct instructor at multiple institutions, including George Mason University, Virginia Commonwealth University, and West End Academy of Dance, and has held artistic associate roles with Charlottesville Ballet and Stavna Ballet.

Her teaching philosophy emphasizes a healthful technical foundation to enhance dancers' facility, longevity, and versatility. She has trained at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School and completed Peff Pointe Teacher Training under Mme. Peff Modelski. As a performer, she has worked with companies such as Louisville Ballet, Company E, and Conflux Dance Theater, and as a guest artist with the Pittsburgh Opera and Lyric Opera of Chicago.
