Katharina Wacker is a doctoral student and Research Associate at the University of Hohenheim's Institute for Social Sciences of Agriculture, Department of Social Transformation and Agriculture. She is engaged in the transnational ALPMEMA project focusing on sustainable grassland management in Alpine regions. Since 2023, she has contributed to research on preserving species-rich grasslands under varying property regimes. Her academic background includes an M.Sc. in Agricultural Sciences (Animal Sciences) from the University of Hohenheim, with a thesis on extensive grazing's ecological impacts.

Projects: Current involvement in the ALPMEMA project and prior roles in the BLE project on grassland protection demonstrate her commitment to applied research in sustainable agriculture.
