Joyce Costello is a Lecturer in Public Relations and Leadership at Bournemouth University's Faculty of Media and Communication since 2013. Previously, she served 19 years in the US Army/Department of Army as a broadcast journalist and public affairs specialist, covering international crises and strategic communication initiatives globally.
Education includes a PhD in Public Service Motivation and Volunteering (Bournemouth University, 2016), MA in Advertising and Marketing Communications (Bournemouth University, 2012), and BA in Marketing (Texas State University, 1993). She is a member of professional bodies including the European Media Management Association and Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
