Teddi A. Joyce

Teddi A. Joyce is the Ayers Family Endowed Chair of Journalism and Mass Communication at Jacksonville State University's College of Business and Industry, where she serves as Head of the Department of Communication. With over 20 years of experience spanning academia and industry, she specializes in marketing, public relations, and advertising.

• B.S. in Public and Corporate Communications, Butler University

Her research focuses on messaging strategies in athletics, higher education, and leadership development, with particular emphasis on athletes as influencers and classroom-based leadership training. She co-authored Effective Leadership Communication: A Guide for Department Chairs and Deans and has published extensively on professional communication practices.
