Joshua Hoglund

Joshua Hoglund is Lecturer and Technical Manager in the Performance Department at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. His practice spans directing, performance, curating, and arts administration.

Creative work investigates embodied knowledge, queer aesthetics, and ecological consciousness through multimedia performance. Recent productions include Ode to the Living Tree and the Conference of Birds, integrating environmental themes with ritualistic performance.

As publicist and production manager for Woodminster Summer Musicals, he bridges institutional and community arts initiatives. His teaching focuses on event production methodologies and the integration of technical design with conceptual art practice.
