Joe Dempsey

Joe Dempsey is a Lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University and founding director of Dempsey+Gannon Architects. His work spans residential, educational, and urban projects, emphasizing human-centric design and the intersection of people, place, and policy. He leads the 5th-year Architecture Atelier, tutors in BA1, and coordinates the Co-Works studio space.

Education: MArch, BA (Hons) Architecture, ARB/RIBA registered. Formerly at Clear Architects, Tim Groom Architects, and Liz Ashmore Architects.

Research focuses on liminal spaces between People, Place, and Policy, collaborating with Dr. Stefan White. Notable projects include 'Developing a Healthy Ageing Neighbourhood in North Manchester' (2023).
