Gemma Birchall

Gemma Birchall is a Tutor at the Manchester School of Architecture, where she teaches BA Architecture BA2. She holds an MArch, BA Hons, and B.Arch degrees, and is an ARB Registered Architect and member of RIBA. With over 15 years of professional experience, she worked as an Associate Architect at Tim Groom Architects, delivering over 1,000 multi-residential and commercial units across the UK.

Her research interests include residential architecture, commercial architecture, and sustainable design, particularly within conservation areas and green belts. She is currently pursuing planning approval for a personal project in Mobberley, Cheshire, which won the MSA One-off House (Unbuilt) Category in 2021.
