Joanna Tidy

Dr. Joanna Tidy is a Senior Lecturer in Politics at the University of Sheffield's School of Sociological Studies, Politics and International Relations. Her research interrogates the intersections of war, gender, military power, and violence through critical and feminist international relations frameworks.

• Drone culture and data aesthetics

Recent publications explore materiality in warfare, humor's role in normalizing violence, and marginalized military masculinities. Awards include being an Anniversary Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Associate Fellow of SPERI.
