Dr. Hannah Partis-Jennings is a Lecturer in the School of History, Anthropology, Philosophy and Politics at Queen's University Belfast. Her research focuses on Critical Military Studies and Feminist Peace and Conflict Studies, with a particular emphasis on military atrocity, militarism, gender dynamics in conflict, and peacebuilding in post-conflict environments. She teaches undergraduate courses on International Relations and Peace and Conflict, as well as postgraduate modules on gender and conflict transformation.
Her current research includes leading a BA/Leverhulme-funded project titled 'Gender and the Future Soldier' and exploring narratives of future warfare. She has received several awards, including the British International Studies Association Early Career Research Grant (2019) and the Russell Trust Award for Field Research (2014). Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to gender equality and peacebuilding.
