Indranil Ghosh, Ph.D., is a Professor and Director at the Graham School of Management (GSM) at Saint Xavier University. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Southern Methodist University (2000), an M.A. from the same institution, an M.A. from Delhi School of Economics, and a B.Sc. (Honors) in Economics from St. Xavier's College, Calcutta. His research focuses on Game Theory, Mechanism Design, Auction Theory, Economic Education, Voting Theory, Public Economics, and Regional Development. He teaches MBA Managerial Economics and undergraduate Money & Banking courses.
Dr. Ghosh serves as Chair of the Division of Accounting and Finance and is a member of the GSM Executive Committee and Strategic Planning Committee. He led the Assurance of Learning Committee's overhaul of GSM's assessment processes ahead of AACSB accreditation visits in 2014 and 2019. His recent research explores online vs. in-person MBA course delivery, industrial cluster dynamics, and auction mechanisms in sports like the Indian Premier League.
He has presented at international conferences including the Atlantic Economic Society (London, 2018) and Allied Academies (New Orleans, 2017). His publications span journals like Journal of Management and Marketing Research and Mathematical Social Sciences, addressing topics from public goods provision to economic education strategies.
