Chinmoy Ghosh is the Department Head and Gladstein Professor of Business and Innovation at the University of Connecticut's School of Business, where he has been a faculty member since 1986. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from Pennsylvania State University, an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, and a B.S. from the University of Calcutta.
His research focuses on capital market efficiency, real estate valuation, and corporate finance. Notable achievements include winning the MBA Best Teacher of the Year award multiple times (1999–2003), the EMBA Best Teacher award in 2003, and the SBA/SNET Best Article Award in 1990. He has also served as Director and Chairman of the Board of Advisers for the Student Managed Fund (SMF), a $4 million fund managed by UConn students.
Dr. Ghosh has consulted for firms like Fidelity Investments and Prudential Inc., and his work spans over 70 publications in top journals such as the Journal of Financial Economics and Journal of Real Estate Finance. Recent research explores fintech, sustainable development goals, and the impact of regulatory reforms on emerging markets.
