Helen Piercy is a Lecturer in Animation and Visual Effects, with a multidisciplinary background in filmmaking and children's literature. She holds a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design from Norwich University of the Arts and an MA in Animation Direction from the National Film and Television School. Her research explores animated movement in surrealist landscapes, visual humour, and memory, integrating 2D, stop-motion, and live-action techniques.
Piercy has collaborated with high-profile institutions including the British Film Institute, Barbican, and Saatchi Gallery. Her authored work, Animation Studio, received the Nuremberg International Toy Fair book prize, and her film Goodbye Mr Pink won the Stop Motion Prize at Animex.
