George Boak

Dr. George Boak is an Associate Professor at York Business School, York St John University, with over 30 years of experience in individual and organizational development. He specializes in leadership development, coaching, and teamworking, with extensive experience working with managers and professionals across public and private sectors including manufacturing, banking, energy, and healthcare.

His research focuses on leadership of innovation and change, leadership development, and coaching and teamworking. Dr. Boak has published extensively in these areas, with particular emphasis on action learning approaches in healthcare and organizational contexts. His work bridges academic theory with practical applications for organizational improvement.

Dr. Boak's recent publications demonstrate a strong focus on action learning methodologies, particularly in healthcare settings.
