Gary R. Thurgood is an Associate Professor in the Management Department at Utah State University's Jon M. Huntsman School of Business. He holds a Ph.D. in Management from Texas A&M University (2016), an MBA from Brigham Young University (2005), and a B.S. in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Brigham Young University (2001).
His research investigates how leaders' personality traits influence strategic decisions and career trajectories, with recent focus on workplace experiences of new parents. He teaches Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, and HR Analytics at undergraduate and graduate levels.
