Professor Ganpati Ramanath is the John Tod Horton Professor of Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), leading research in nanomaterials and energy applications. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois-Urbana (1997) and has been at RPI since 1998, progressing through tenure and promotions to full professor (2006). His work focuses on structure-processing-property relationships in inorganic thin films and nanomaterials for energy and electronics, with over 185 journal articles (h-index 53), 9 patents, and 235 invited talks.
