Eva Reiter

Eva Reiter is a musician, composer, lecturer, and artistic advisor affiliated with the Music and Arts Private University of the City of Vienna (Faculty of Performing Arts) since September 2020. She teaches composition and focuses on early music and contemporary performance.

Education:

• Recorder and viola da gamba studies at the University of Music in Vienna
• Master's programs with focus on contemporary composition at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam (completed 2006, cum laude)

Research Interests: Eva Reiter specializes in artistic research and interdisciplinary music practices. Her project Transforming Instrumental Gestures (funded by the City of Vienna) explores intersections between historical and contemporary performance techniques.

Performance & Collaborations: She performs as a soloist and collaborates with ensembles such as Ictus (member since 2015) and Klangforum Wien, focusing on early and contemporary music.

Residencies: Artist in residence at Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and Vienna Konzerthaus (2019/20 season).
