Martin Reiter

Prof. Martin Reiter is a jazz pianist and educator at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK) since 2012. Born in 1978 in Vienna, he studied jazz piano at Anton Bruckner Private University and the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. His career includes extensive international touring, collaborations with artists like Simone Kopmajer, Andi Tausch, and Chanda Rule, and residency programs such as the Elba Artist in Residence (2010). He has released numerous acclaimed albums, including ALMA (2008), Jazz Ahead (2020), and better place (2018). Reiter’s work spans composition, arranging, and improvisation, with a focus on blending traditional jazz with contemporary techniques. He is also active in pedagogy, authoring textbooks and leading masterclasses globally.
